Lygon Arms Hotel is a small family-run hotel in the high street of Chipping Campden. It is well known for its friendly atmosphere and traditional English food offering accommodation, restaurants and a public bar. Chipping Campden is well placed for touring the surrounding Cotswold villages, Stratford on Avon and Shakespeare Country. For lovers of walking and the scenic countryside, the Cotswold Way and Heart of England walks are close to the town.

Courtyard Barn Rooms: The Courtyard rooms have been rebuilt from the Stone & Materials of the old barns & Blacksmiths Forge which originally stood in the courtyard of this old Coaching Inn. The building has been carefully designed to create a traditional Cotswold style, with the bedrooms complementing the exterior. There are four Courtyard rooms, each having either king-size beds or twin beds, a settee, a mini fridge with complimentary fruit & mineral water, TV, DVD player, iron, direct dial telephone & high-speed internet. Deluxe en suite bathrooms with either Jacuzzi bath or Jacuzzi steam shower, plus heated towel rail, hairdryer & underfloor heating. Two of these rooms may interconnect making one ideal family room for 4 or 5.

Main House Room: The rooms have been refurbished in a traditional country style with special attention to keeping the character of the old building. Each room has been individually designed and includes many contemporary fittings for guest comfort. Traditional beams and original Cotswold stone feature in most rooms creating stylish, comfortable accommodation with a traditional feel.

There are rooms in the main building of the hotel, most of them with views of the historic high street, with large windows & window seats. The rooms have either king-size or twin beds, a television, hospitality tray, mini fridge with complimentary fresh fruit & mineral water, direct dial telephone, high-speed internet & ironing board with iron. The en suite bathrooms are a good size & have a bath & shower also a heated towel rail & hairdryer.

They offer a fabulous meal in the modern restaurant. They offer wonderful British-style dishes, complemented by a superb wine list. The Lounge Bar is great for a pre-dinner drink in a cosy setting and you can also indulge with a sumptuous afternoon tea.

Nearby attractions include Hidcote Manor National Trust gardens (4 miles), Malvern Hills, Warwick Castle and the spa town of Cheltenham (20 miles) with its famous racecourse. Also within easy reach is the National Agricultural Centre at Stoneleigh (17 miles) and the National Exhibition Centre (25 miles).

Seymour House is a Grade II listed building set in the heart of Chipping Campden High Street.


The house was built in the early part of the 18th century and has variously been a private house, a boarding school for girls during WWII, a hotel and now a wonderful bed & breakfast, offering luxury guest accommodation.

Breakfast is served in the drawing room at individual tables. Our menu changes with the seasons, but will always include free-range and locally-sourced produce for a cooked breakfast, homemade compotes and jams and homemade granola.

The Cotswolds is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is one of the loveliest parts of England. There is something here for everyone to enjoy from miles and miles of walks and footpaths, to quaint villages in famous golden Cotswold stone with cosy pubs and thatched roofs. There is delightful shopping in Burford, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and right here in Chipping Campden.
