Mortons Manor, Corfe Castle, Dorset

Mortons Manor offers fabulous bed and breakfast accommodation in Corfe Castle. Our manor house is perfect for a special getaway in a beautiful area of Dorset.

Our Grade II Listed Elizabethan manor house dates from 1590 and was built in the shape of an ‘E’ to honour Queen Elizabeth who once stayed here. The manor house now offers a range of elegant bedrooms to choose from, including 4 accessible rooms.

Based on the first floor are the Manor House Doubles, including one bedroom with a king-size four-poster bed and a Corfe stone fireplace. The Castle View Doubles are on the first floor and offer views of Corfe Castle. Our Terrace View Doubles are housed on the first-floor extension and look over the garden Text taken from thebandbdirectory.co.uk terrace, village and countryside. On the ground floor, we also have Ground Terrace Doubles.

On the first floor extension, we have Classic Twins including one room with garden terrace views. The Garden Dacombe Rooms are based within the walled garden and boast underfloor heating. We also have 3 suites to stay in, offering that added touch of luxury. 2 of the suites can be family rooms.

Our award-winning restaurant uses local suppliers to create delicious dishes. We combine British and international cuisine to create a fantastic menu, served in our intimate restaurant. You can also enjoy lunch in The Terrace Bar and there is an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining.

We are based in a great location for exploring the area. Visit the village's famous castle, independent shops and museum or explore the sandy beaches along the Jurassic coast. Enjoy the country walks or visit The Arne Nature Reserve.

www.thebandbdirectory.co.ukThe Scott Arms, Kingston, Corfe Castle, Dorset

The Scott Arms can be found in the wonderful village of Kingston, near Corfe Castle in Dorset. The pub offers a place to enjoy a well deserved beverage, something to eat and a place to stay while exploring this beautiful part of the West Country. The location is unrivalled, lucky to be set in a location where you can enjoy what is possibly the best view of the spectacular Purbeck countryside.

So spectacular is the view from The Scott Arms pub that a mounted telescope has become a permanent fixture in the beer garden! Centre stage is the shattered ruins of Corfe Castle, framed with perfect symmetry by a pair of thoughtfully matching hills. Some distance away, behind the castle, is the top of Poole Harbour. Viewed through the telescope, the winding streets, rooftops and church of Corfe resemble a model town.

Both residents and non-residents are welcome at the pub. It is open every day for lunch and dinner, with seasonal menus being very popular. Using fresh local ingredients from Purbeck helps the chefs to create an exciting selection of modern classics. During the summer there is little more pleasurable than eating some genuine barbecued Jamaican food from The Jerk Shak in the garden, sitting in the warmth of a balmy evening and staring out across to the ruins of Corfe Castle.

The Scott Arms is located at the top of Kingston Hill on the corner of West Street. It isn't hard to spot: the building is covered by a dense Virginia Creeper for most of the year.

The model village is a place of interest for all, with an excellent miniature of the village itself and even some old stocks incase the children, or parents, are getting a bit too much!
