www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Stickland Farmhouse, Blandford Forum, Dorset

Stickland Farmhouse is a charming Dorset thatched cottage in an enviably rural setting in Blandford Forum.

The house, though renovated recently to a very comfortable, modern standard, still retains its original features such as inglenook fireplaces and beams, recovered from ships in times gone by.

This B&B in Blandford Forum offers at garden level a twin room with independent entrance; on the first floor there are two double rooms. Guests have access to a charming garden bursting with colour in the Spring and Summer.

The village pub in Blandford Forum is The Crown, St Mary's Church and the Post Office and shop are within a 100 yard walk from our spacious off street parking area.

Winterborne Stickland is surrounded by lovely rolling Dorset countryside, lying 4½ miles south west of Blandford Forum which has a selection of pubs and restaurants.

A short walk to Winterborne Houghton, along the Winterborne stream, rewards the walker with sights of kingfishers, voles, wagtails and egrets (recent settlers from France) and before going home fresh trout can be bought at the hatchery ponds
