The famous mature terraced gardens are especially colourful in spring
with 10,000 daffodils, 6000 tulips and 1000 hyacinths set against the
purple aubrieta covered walls. Throughout the summer months up to 6000
bedding plants fill the flower beds.
Haltwhistle itself is ideally located in lovely countryside close to the Roman wall ‘Hadrian's Wall’. We are a short drive away from the Scottish Borders, historic Carlisle with its famous castle and Tullie House Museum, North Pennines AONB and the market towns of Alston, Hexham and Corbridge. The Lake District is also an easy drive away.
