Golden Hill Cottage is a Grade II listed thatched home offering bed and breakfast accommodation in the tranquil village of Stourton Caundle near Sherborne surrounded by peaceful unspoilt countryside.
There is plenty of space in the private sitting room to sit and relax, read or watch television. You will be our only guests, so this is all yours. We offer you tea and home-made cake. Breakfast is also served in the sitting room. You will have a wide choice of home-cooked food including; cereals, porridge, fruit, sausages and bacon, eggs any way you like them, home-made marmalade or jam and local honey. Where possible, the ingredients are locally sourced.
A short walk down the street is the village pub, The Trooper. There are glorious walks through the local farmland from the village. The historic Abbey town of Sherborne, with its picturesque streets, excellent shops and restaurants and two ancient castles, is 7 miles away. Thomas Hardy's Dorset is all around, with Dorchester (Casterbridge) 18 miles away.
