Being a Victorian hotel in Edinburgh, our accommodation comes in all different shapes and sizes, adding extra character, unlike a standard chain hotel. Each room has been individually decorated to complement the classic scottish-style charm of the hotel. A mix of classical meets contemporary, from high corniced ceilings to cosy rooms with coombed ceilings, we have a range of comfortable rooms for couples, singles and families alike.
Specially designed with romance in mind, our superior 4 poster rooms are our most popular and feature elegant canopied 4 poster beds and spa baths, perfect to complement any special occasion, honeymoon or romantic weekend away.
Please note, in keeping with the distinctive period style of the building, we do not have a lift. Please advise at time of booking if you have difficulty negotiating stairs as a few of our rooms are located up two flights.
You may check in to your room from 2 pm on your day of arrival. Check out is by 10.30 am on the day of departure. If these times do not fit in with your schedule, we also offer early check in facilities by prior arrangement. Please advise us at time of booking and we will endeavour to accommodate your needs.
Guests are welcome to relax in front of the open fire in our elegant Victorian lounge. A warm welcome awaits you.
