Penn House, Weymouth, Dorset
Penn House offers bed and breakfast accommodation that is just a short walk from the centre of town and a stone’s throw from the beach. We are an ideal base for business and leisure guests to Weymouth, as we are close enough to amenities yet just away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.
Weymouth is a place of beauty, not only the town and the harbour, but also the surrounding areas, which includes the Jurassic oastline and its wonderful coastal footpath. Penn House is only a 10 minute walk from the train and bus stations.
Penn House Hotel is a small guest house, but its position on Weymouth seafront is second to none. The view from some of its bedrooms across Weymouth Bay is outstanding. The guest house is situated on Brunswick Terrace and is renowned for its floral decoration along to whole terrace.
We provide a traditional breakfast but cater for any kind of breakfast on request.
Weymouth's popularity as a seaside resort is attributed to King George III who came to bathe in the sea as a health cure for his nervous disorder. The beach is superb and consists of sand which sweeps around the bay changing to shingle along the extended promenade.
All the usual facilities are on hand, Punch & Judy, swing boats, trampolines, volleyball court and Weymouth's famous sand modeller. Weymouth has much more to offer than just the beach. As one would expect of a coastal resort, watersports feature prominently in the list of activities.
