Lyndale Guest House, Ambleside, Cumbria, The Lake District
Lyndale Guest House is located in the pretty Cumbrian village of Ambleside, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District National Park. The location is excellent for ramblers and cyclists.
We have six guest bedrooms available, two double en suite rooms (one of which is a super king sized bed), two family en suite rooms (one with a double and two single beds which can also be used as a en suite triple and one room with a double and a single bed which can also be used as a twin en suite room). We also have two single rooms each with their own private bathrooms just down the hall. All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities, TV and hairdryer.
A hearty full English breakfast is included in the price, special diets can be catered for please let us know beforehand. Packed lunches are also available on request.
Although Ambleside dates back to Roman times, this picturesque village is dominated by the Victorian, Lakeland stone buildings. Nestled in the heart of the Lake District it is an ideal location to set up base before exploring the beautiful countryside. There are numerous walks up mountains and through valleys as well as plenty of places to visit by car or cycle. On Lake Windermere, in addition to boat hire and the various water sports activities, you can cruise down the lake on the steamer.
