The Old Fire Station, St Just, Penzance, Cornwall
The Old Fire Station offers bed and breakfast accommodation located in the heart of the historic Cornish town of St Just. Our delightful converted fire station is just a short drive from Penzance and is close to a wealth of spectacular walks around the Lands End peninsula.
Our beds are all centrally heated with their own private shower room, wash basin and WC. The two attic rooms have views of the countryside and the sea on one side and the market square on the other. There is a double bed in one room and the other has two singles. The third double bedroom is on the ground floor and while it doesn't have the attic views it also doesn't have the stairs. Each room has a TV, wardrobe and tea and coffee facilities.
Fresh bread, croissants, fruit, cereals, muesli and yoghurt are served for breakfast each morning, along with juice, tea and coffee. A cooked breakfast is also available on request. We can also cater for those with special dietary requirements please let us know and we will do our best to cater for you.
St Just is a lively small town with local pubs, cafes, shops and galleries, all within five minutes walk. West Penwith has 3 'Blue Flag' beaches, more than anywhere else in the UK, all within a short distance. The water quality is superb and the sea is a beautiful aquamarine colour. A few minutes walk away is the South West Coast Path with its dramatic cliffs, beautiful rocky coves and magnificent ancient sites all contributing to the enduring appeal of this ancient coastline. Nearby are the birdwatching valleys of Kenidjack, Cot, Nanquidno and Kelynack Moor.
