East Trewent Farm, Freshwater East, Pembroke, Pembrokeshire
Only a few minutes’ walk from Freshwater East Beach, East Trewent Farm offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in rural Pembrokeshire.
Set in converted farm buildings just across the former farmyard from our house, the B&B rooms combine the comfort and convenience of bed and breakfast with the independence of your own front door. We have three en suite rooms – one twin and two doubles – and a small single with its own bathroom facilities, perfect for the independent traveller walking the nearby Pembrokeshire coast path.
We believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and offer a full Welsh breakfast, using ingredients sourced as close to home as possible. We can also make you up a packed lunch for your day out, again using local or homemade ingredients.
There are quiet outside seating areas for you to enjoy and listen to the birds and the sound of the sea. Frequent summer visitors include many swallows, which can be seen nesting in our pretty whitewashed stone outbuildings. East Trewent Farm used to be a dairy farm on the Stackpole Estate and retains the original medieval farmhouse, thought to have been built some 500 years ago. Breath-taking scenery surrounds us, ideal for walking, horse riding, bird watching and cycling.
Ideally situated for beach lovers, Freshwater East, Manorbier and nearby Freshwater West all offer some of the best surfing in Wales, not to mention the most stunning scenery. We are close to Bosherston Lily Ponds and the beautiful Barafundle Bay, with pubs and restaurants close by providing good food. Lamphey (2.5 miles) also has a post office, petrol station and a village shop for basic groceries while the historic town of Pembroke, with its impressive castle, is only three miles away.
