Newtown Farm is a 4 star bed and breakfast in Newton, Cumbria and is situated in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country.

Nearby is the historic market town of Brampton with lovely tea shops and antique centres and the Moot Hall located in the centre. We are only 8 miles from Gretna Green, famous for run-away weddings and the Gateway Village - a paradise for shoppers.
 
Other local places of interest include Talkin' Tarn - a local English Heritage site with woodland walks round the beautiful lake. There is also a chance to see the endangered red squirrel which still lives here. Lanercost Priory (circa.1166AD), founded by Henry II. The Priory contains three stained glass windows by Sir Edward Burne-Jones. The historic city of Carlisle with its 900 year old Castle and impressive Cathedral is well worth a visit.
