The Robin Hill is ideally located in a central yet quiet area of Torquay and is just a short 500-metre stroll down the hill to the town's harbour, shops, restaurants, bars and seafront.

Every room at The Robin Hill is different. There are double bedded rooms, twin bedded rooms, superior rooms and three family rooms; one accommodating 2 adults and 1 child, the others accommodating 2 adults and 2 children.

Your comfort is the main aim with all bedrooms having en suite shower rooms. An array of guest amenities include a wall mounted TV, tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, hand and bath towels & a hairdryer. Superior rooms also have an iron and ironing board.

Your choice of breakfast is served in the large, elegant breakfast room overlooking our south-facing garden. The large breakfast room offers plenty of space for everyone and there is a restful and tranquil guest lounge and conservatory with a licensed bar. This is a non-smoking establishment but have designated outdoor smoking areas.

Torquay stands on the hills overlooking the harbour. Palm trees, yachts and waterskiers give the place an almost Mediterranean feel during the summer. Torquay’s waterfront is the focus of life in the town. Here you’ll find the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina.

Winchester, the ancient capital of Wessex, has its famous cathedral (where Mary Tudor married King Philip of Spain), college, castle and King Arthur's Round Table. The Historic Ships and Dockyard at Portsmouth are a short journey by train or road and Chichester and Goodwood Race Course are also half an hour away. As well as excellent shopping and a lovely cathedral, Chichester has its famous Festival Theatre. National Trust properties such as Uppark and Hinton Ampner are near Petersfield with Petworth House within half an hour's drive.

For walkers and cyclists, the South Downs Way is nearby as well as lots of shorter walks to include a pub lunch. The countryside around Petersfield is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Channel is half an hour away with seaside walks and seafood restaurants. Ferries to the Isle of Wight leave from Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station.

The hotel is situated within the heart of Cruden Bay, just 800m from the renowned Cruden Bay Golf Course & is a short stroll from the beach, harbour and the imposing ruin of Slains Castle where the hotel's once-regular guest, Bram Stoker, gained inspiration for his novel Dracula. A commemorative plaque has been awarded to the hotel by Historic Environment Scotland in recognition of the early chapters of Dracula having been written here in 1895. Just a 30 minute drive and you can be in the city of Aberdeen, passing Newburgh, Trump International and Royal Aberdeen Golf Courses on your way.

Having been recently restored, the hotel holds 22 en suite bedrooms, which remain sympathetic to the design of this historic building.
