Cambridge House is a 5 star gold award winning guesthouse that offers quality accommodation in the magnificent surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We have previously been a White Rose award finalist and were the winners of the Best Yorkshire Breakfast in 2016 and 2017. We are situated just outside Reeth village centre and have one of the most enviable positions in North Yorkshire, with stunning views of Swaledale which can be admired from every guest bedroom.
Breakfast is cooked to order each morning and is made using fresh produce from local suppliers. We want all our guests to feel completely comfortable during their stay with us and this includes ensuring that special dietary requirements are accounted for to the best of our ability. We offer gluten-free, lactose-free and vegetarian options wherever we can. Whilst we take every precaution, we regret that we cannot ensure that food prepared in our kitchen is free from nuts.
Whether walking cycling or touring, the Yorkshire Dales has something for everyone. At Gunnerside the beautiful meadows by the River Swale are a joy in spring and early summer. The dramatic climb over Buttertubs Pass to Hawes is an unforgettable trip and a visit to Tan Hill, England’s highest Inn, takes you over a great expanse of heather moorland which in the summer is home to many birds, including black grouse, curlew, lapwing, golden plover, ring ouzel, snipe, woodcock, short-eared owl.
