Barley House is the ideal place to get away from it all
for a few days, be taken care of and relax in beautiful, comfortable
surroundings.
Barley House is situated on East Cliff and all that
Southwold has to offer is just a short walk away. A tall imposing Victorian
town house built around 1850, commanding wonderful sea views.
Sympathetically renovated, beautifully furnished with
modern features but still retaining much of its original character and charm.
Breakfast is served in the living room where guests are
invited to help themselves from a selection of cereals, fresh fruit and
pastries before being served their choice of cooked breakfast. All ingredients
are locally sourced.
For those of you who don't already know, Southwold is a
wonderfully traditional seaside resort situated on Suffolk's Heritage Coast,
often referred to as the Sunrise Coast.
It is a town full of character with a history dating back
to the famous Battle of Sole Bay in 1672 and beyond. Elegant Georgian and
Victorian houses, beautifully renovated Fisherman's Cottages surround the many
greens that make up the town and the rows of now famous brightly painted beach
huts run alongside its award winning beach.
