Newsham Grange Farm offers comfortable B&B accommodation in Newsham, near Kirby Wiske, North Yorkshire. The B&B is a Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse offering spacious facilities. Guests can relax in the 6-seater hot tub and there is a 7-metre outdoor swimming pool for use in the summer months.
The bed and breakfast has been tastefully renovated by the present owners, boasting many of its original features, yet taking advantage of modern-day living. There is ample secure courtyard parking with CCTV and lockable storage space can be arranged for bicycles should that be required. This secure parking has the added advantage of been behind electrical operated gates which require a code to open them.
The owners are keen to protect the environment, so try to recycle as much waste as possible. They are particularly proud that the whole of the farmhouse and guest rooms are heated by a central wood-burning boiler, eliminating the need to burn refined fuel as much as possible. This also extends to the swimming pool in the summer months when in use.
Your Yorkshire breakfast will be cooked on the Aga which enhances the flavour of the locally sourced produce used in all cooking.
Thirsk market town is approximately 4 miles away with Northallerton, where there are many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants. Nearby Thirsk is also a popular day out, having its own racecourse and the Famous World of James Herriot, which is well worth a visit. Both Thirsk and Northallerton railway stations are only a few minutes away by taxi.
