This wonderful guesthouse has 3 bedrooms which are in the oldest part of the house and comprise of 2 doubles and 1 twin. All rooms are en suite and come with TV and tea making facilities if desired. There is a stairlift if required.
Pre-dinner drinks can be taken in either the oak-panelled drawing room or the attractive sitting room. Dinner is served in the elegant dining room. Afternoon tea can be taken in the garden or on cooler days in the Victorian greenhouse in the kitchen garden where you can view the vegetables that you will eat at dinner!
The garden is some three acres, during the shooting season pheasants use it as a refuge and can often be seen looking through the French windows! There is an old croquet lawn which guests are free to use. There are many and varied walks available from the house.
The food is a highlight of staying at Haughley; Caroline and Jeffrey are accomplished cooks who believe that using the finest ingredients is the key to your culinary excellence; using organic vegetables grown in their walled kitchen garden, fruit from the orchard and eggs from their hens. They are able to offer beef from their own traditionally reared cattle and game is from their own land; other meats are sourced locally from reliable producers.
