The Bateman Arms, Shobdon, Leominster, Herefordshire
If you are looking for a pleasant evening out with friends where you can enjoy good food and drink in a relaxed, warm and welcoming environment or you are in need of comfortable accommodation while you enjoy the riches of the Marches area, then look no further than The Bateman Arms.
There are 6 beautifully furnished rooms available in the Old Stable block adjacent to the main building. You can choose from double and twin rooms, with some rooms including gorgeous old beams. All the rooms include tea and coffee making facilities, en suite shower/bathroom and complimentary Noble Isle toiletries & fluffy towels.
You can savour an excellent meal at the restaurant, cooked by a team of experienced chefs. Produce is locally sourced where possible and 99% of what is made is homemade. In the summer months, you can enjoy a drink or two in the large garden while the children burn off some excess energy.

Shobdon is also the proud home of the Rococo Gothic Church in the Country. Built in 1756 by the Bateman family, it is a remarkable building and has an arresting almost oriental-looking blue and white interior. Great attractions to visit include:
