The Castle Hotel offers superb bed and breakfast accommodation located in the pleasant town of Bishops Castle in Shropshire.

There are twelve lovely bedrooms, all en suite, TV, pillows, sheets, all mod cons you see. And all suffused with that “away from it all” feeling.

Some bedrooms have lovely views of the town and the surrounding hills, and others look out over the fabulous hotel gardens. They have double rooms, family rooms, twin beds and single beds. They are all on the first or second floor and are reached from a fine Georgian staircase.

They use a wide range of local suppliers; we’re spoilt for them actually. What we aim to produce is modern, good pub food that is healthy, hearty, flavoursome and fresh and great value of course.

The Castle Hotel doubles as a traditional country pub and has three bar areas, each of which has either a log burner or open fire in the cooler months. All the bar areas can also be used for dining or drinking, as you prefer.

Bishops Castle is one of the most charming and unspoilt market towns in England with two real ale breweries and conveniently close to the medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow. You are surrounded on all sides by the beautiful South Shropshire Hills, the Welsh borders and in the great walking countryside, there is something to suit all tastes in the area.
