The Border Hotel, Kirk Yetholm, Kelso, Scottish Borders

The Border Hotel is a traditional Scottish property that offers comfortable and cosy hotel accommodation in Kirk Yetholm. Situated at the end of the 268 mile Pennine Way, it's a great place for walkers to have a well-earned rest, or set off from.

There are five guest rooms, each offering exceptionally high standards of comfort with spectacular views over the village green or the surrounding countryside. All are as charming as they are functional, with en suite shower and bath, flat-screen digital TV, tea and coffee facilities and radio alarm clock.

Breakfasts are served from 8.00am and offer a comprehensive choice from the traditional Scottish breakfast to the popular scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. For those wishing an early start, breakfast trays are available.

The bar boasts a range of local cask conditioned ales, fine Scotch and spirits. Lunch and dinner are both available, and on Sunday there's a carvery to tuck into. The Border's approach to food is simply to use the best quality local ingredients, cook them simply and let the quality speak for itself.

Those travelling the St. Cuthbert's Way might arrive in the village less wearily than walkers concluding the Pennine Way, but for both groups the Border Hotel is an extremely welcome sight. Kirk Yetholm is also the start point for the 470 mile Scottish National Trail.

www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk The Old Priory, Kelso, Scottish Borders

Robin, Susan Girdwood and their family would like to extend a warm welcome to all guests and visitors to The Old Priory Bed and Breakfast, our family home, and to the beautiful town of Kelso, the cobbled town, in the heart of the Scottish Borders.

The Borders is a beautiful if largely undiscovered part or Scotland, and in many ways we like to keep it a little bit secret, but it is not as VisitScotland describe “The shortbreak destination of Scotland” when you come here there is a wealth of history to keep you in the area for many days. Most people, who discover the Borders come back year after year.

We offer traditional bed and breakfast hospitality, a family atmosphere, with a friendly, relaxed feel in a very atmospheric and comfortable environment.

Our B & B’s walled garden provides off road parking and a haven in the town for our guests. Kelso is a vibrant town with events such as the Jim Clark Rally, Border Union Show, Civic Week, Regular Horse Race Meetings, British Motorcycle Federation Show and many more events throughout the year.

www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk The Farmhouse at Yetholm Mill, Kirk Yethlom, Kelso

Welcome to The Farmhouse at Yetholm Mill, an old Georgian farmhouse, which has recently been renovated and refurbished.

You will find us in Kirk Yetholm, in the Scottish Borders. St Cuthbert's Way passes the house and the Pennine Way finishes just a short distance away on the village green.

We are perfectly situated for walking breaks, enjoying the countryside, or exploring Kelso, the Borders and Northumberland.
We have two comfortable rooms in the Farmhouse, one with en-suite and one with a private bathroom and we have two rooms in our annexe (which can be self catering) both with en-suite facilities.

Where ever possible our produce will be home grown (organically) or sourced locally. Vegetarian meals always available, please give us notice of any other dietary requirements.
Guests are welcome to wander around the gardens or woodland, and can sit on the terrace soaking up the sun or with a glass of wine watching the wildlife and the glorious sunsets.

The view from the terrace is spectacular, as we look out over the Bowmont river valley, and also down the valley towards Kelso.
There is always something to do in the Borders, Northumberland and even Yetholm village.
