Trethorne Hotel and Golf Resort is situated 1 minute from the A30 on the junction A395 (North Cornwall Road). It offers a superb selection of superior and standard rooms and great facilities for families on site to help you relax and enjoy your stay. There is a large free carpark which can take all sized vehicles.

Trethorne Golf Club is a 18 hole golf course on the grounds of this family run business. The course flows all around the complex. Book yourself a round while staying here. The bar is always open and has loads of outdoor seating and play area so enjoy the sun with a bite to eat and drink.

The complex has two restaurants and two bars. With one large restaurant and bar aimed at welcoming families as it is located next to all the facilities for a day or evening of family fun. There are three pool tables, dodgems, ten pin bowling, games arcade and the large children’s adventure park.

Both restaurants have a menus to fit both adults and children’s appetites. You won't be going hungry all meals are very well portioned.

The world famous Jamaica Inn high on Bodmin Moor.

This historic 1750’s coaching Inn was made famous by Daphne du Maurier’s novel of the same name and is now a 36-bedroom hotel and full of character. Its restaurant is open from 7.30am to 9pm and there’s a Smuggling Museum, the Daphne du Maurier Room, a Farm Shop, Gift Shop, gardens with a pirate ship for kids to climb on and breath-taking views over the wild and beautiful Bodmin Moor.

It is in the lovely Cornish hamlet of Bolventor half way between Launceston and Bodmin and welcomes children and dogs. As well as being a great place right by the A30 to stop for a meal on route into Cornwall it is also the perfect base to stay and to visit anywhere in Devon and Cornwall and still be back in time for dinner.

The hotel has romantic old bedrooms with 4-poster beds, modern rooms in the new part, family rooms, a fully equipped ‘disabled’ bedroom, dog-friendly rooms and also suites including the huge and luxurious Daphne du Maurier Suite with its 7’ Emperor bed, traditional bath, electric curtains etc. For bedrooms with the greatest views request a ‘Moor View’ room. All bedrooms have free fast Wi Fi and a big screen TV with Sky Sports, Sky Movies and even BT Sports channels. All guest rooms have been tastefully decorated and furnished, have en-suite bathrooms and are very comfortable with a choice of soft or hard pillows ensuring you get a good night’s sleep.

Breakfast for residents or visitors starts at 7.15, Light Bites and cream teas all day, lunch 12 noon to 3pm and dinner from 5pm to 9pm cooked to order from a large menu choice and is available in Pedlars Restaurant and the Smugglers Bar where well behaved dogs are welcome. Several real ales are always available as well as Cornish beers and lagers and the Inn’s own Jamaica Inn rum.

The Smuggling Museum is the largest in Cornwall and includes a short film of tales of wreckers, murderers and villains and the part the Inn played in the smuggling. Attached to the museum is the Daphne du Maurier Room filled with her personal memorabilia such as her Sheraton writing desk that she wrote many of her novels on.

The Gift Shop is packed with over 5000 items to choose from and the Inn’s new Farm Shop has fresh bread baked daily at the Inn and lots of Cornish produce.

Middle Tremollett is a peaceful country bed and breakfast close to Bodmin Moor in the heart of Cornwall. This is a 19th Century Victorian country house with panoramic views in the village of Coads Green which is about 15 minutes from Launceston.

There are 3 B&B rooms available - 1 is a superking which can be used as a twin room. All rooms include a TV, tea/coffee making facilities, fluffy towels, bathrobes, Wi-Fi, information books and leaflets and reading books.

Breakfast is taken in the comfort of a separate dining room. The breakfast menu includes lots of local produce. If guests want to relax they can use the lounge which has a log fire. Your hosts can recommend shops, butchers and markets in the area where you can pick local salad, meat, wine, beer and even an impressive range of Cornish wines. Often guests find this all that is needed for a perfect day in the sunshine. Use of a mini fridge in the hall is available for guests.

Middle Tremollett is ideally situated for a holiday in south west England, within an hours drive of any destination in Devon and Cornwall. There are activities for everyone such as, horse riding, bird watching, walking or just relax and take in the breathtaking views. There are many lanes and footpaths offering ever changing scenery with an abundance of wildlife. Your ideal base for golf, fishing or to explore National Trust properties such as Lanhydrock or Cotehele. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan or the shopping of Truro, Plymouth, Looe and Polperro are all within easy reach by car.
