Lying
towards the western end of the Valley of Taunton Deane, the pub is within easy
access of both The Quantock Hills and Exmoor.
It
is only a few miles from Watchet Marina and from Minehead, which is the start
of the beautiful coastal route passing through such places as Porlock,
Countisbury, Lynton, Lynmouth, and Lorna Doone Country before heading on along
the North Devon Coast all the way down through Cornwall: truly spectacular
scenery all the way.
The
White Horse Inn is a friendly, family-run Grade II Listed pub with restaurant,
in the village of Stogumber, on the edge of the Quantock Hills, an area of
outstanding natural beauty.
The
Inn is conveniently located in the centre of the village, beside the post
office and opposite the architecturally noteworthy Church of St Mary.
