The Wayside, Whitbeck, Cumbria, Lake District National Park
The Wayside is in a secluded part of the Western Lake District and offers guests a relaxing place to stay while visiting this corner of Cumbria. The accommodation has been beautifully renovated and is overlooked by the magnificent Black Combe Fell. It is surrounded by many stunning walks and just a short stroll from the beach.
The Wayside is a place where guests can stay, rest & relax. All guests will receive a warm welcome and a high-quality service during their stay, with many guests often leaving as friends. Luxurious accommodation, extraordinary service and culinary delights are what we pride ourselves on.
All of the guest rooms include a hairdryer, free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, towels & toiletries.
As well as offering accommodation, there is a whisky barn and restaurant. The restaurant and bar area provide a relaxing and comfortable setting for guests to enjoy home-cooked food using the finest local ingredients. The lounge and restaurant are also open to non-residents on Friday and Saturday evenings.
The Western Lake District is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. With more than 3,100 kilometres of parkland to explore, you can walk, cycle and ride around. As well as enjoying your time on land, you can also get on the water of the lakes and coastline.
