The Rosemont, Yelverton, Devon, Dartmoor National Park
The Rosemont is a classic Edwardian House, located in a stunning part of Devon on the edges of Dartmoor National Park and the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our B&B is in the lovely village of Yelverton, which is only a 15 minute drive from Plymouth.
All the guest rooms have a homely feel and are tastefully decorated and furnished to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay is had by all.
A freshly cooked breakfast at The Rosemont is (whenever possible) locally sourced and free range. We are happy to offer a vegetarian alternative to the traditional Full English, or something a bit lighter; we have a few specials that change on a regular basis. Breakfast is served up with a cafetiere of fresh coffee, a range of teas, fruit juices, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cereals, toast and conserves.
We offer our guests the use of a cosy lounge with comfortable seating; it’s where you will find local information and leaflets, and our book and DVD lending library. Feel free to stay awhile, relax after a long day exploring the area, and perhaps swap stories with other guests.
Dartmoor National Park covers 365 square miles and provides an open air playground for all sorts of activities. The most popular is, of course, to walk and hike amongst one of England’s last great wildernesses. Whether looking for wide open, sparsely populated moorland, spectacular views from granite tors, rugged high paths or just some extremely pleasant strolls along the rivers and reservoirs following well-marked trails, Dartmoor offers them all. At the end of the day, whatever your level of activity, there will be a good meal at one of the local pubs & restaurants.
