Tweeddale Arms Hotel is a friendly and inviting place to stay, at Gifford in East Lothian. We are open to residents and non-residents, offering a place to wine and dine whilst visiting this wonderful part of Scotland. Our hotel is in the centre of Gifford and only 4 miles from this historic Haddington.
The hotel dates back to 1685 and still has its traditional black and white exterior paintwork. Over the years the hotel has been renovated, ensuring guests have a place to stay that is comfortable and cosy.
In addition to our guest rooms, we have a bar and restaurant that is open to all. Whether you are a family, friends, a couple or one man and his dog, you can enjoy something to eat and drink with us. The family lounge bar/restaurant is open all day for teas & coffees, drinks and bar meals. Further dining rooms are available that offer private dining, each with its own log burner. Our rear lounge can be hired with sole use of the smaller beer garden to the rear. The hotel also has a lovely enclosed beer garden and a function suite with access to the garden making it perfect for weddings or that extra special event.
Gifford is a sweetly-lying, quaint village at the foot of the Lammremuir Hills with picturesque walks and cycle paths nearby. Gifford is located only a 30 minute drive away from Edinburgh and is within easy reach of 17 of Scotland’s finest golf courses including Muirfield.
