The Smiddy House, Spean Bridge, Inverness-shire, The Highlands
The Smiddy House is a superb restaurant with lovely guest rooms located in the village of Spean Bridge in Inverness-shire. The guest accommodation is located only eleven miles from Fort William which is the outdoor capital of The Highlands.
There is a total of four guest rooms all of which are on the first floor and individually designed and named after Scottish places which are also named whiskies. The guest rooms are tastefully decorated and offer a TV, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities and en suite facilities.
The restaurant offers a range of delicious dishes using locally sourced produce where possible. As well as offering superb meals, the owners offer afternoon tea where there are finger sandwiches, homemade scones, cakes and pastries.
The surrounding area offers something for everyone. There are numerous activities available including walking, fishing, stalking, golf, mountain biking and cycling. Ben Nevis, Fort William, The Cairngorm National Park and The Jacobite Steam Train can all be easily reached from the guest accommodation.
