The Haven enjoys an ideal position in a small crescent of only nine properties, on the west cliff at Whitby overlooking the harbour entrance St Mary's church & the ruins of St Hilda's Abbey, only a short walk from the town centre railway and bus stations, the cliffs and beach are also nearby.


Parking in Whitby is mostly unrestricted and free, the Haven is also within a few hundred metres of three pay and display car parks.

Breakfast is served from 8.30- 9.00am in the delightful dining room with views of the harbour and quays, where guests may serve themselves to a buffet of fruits, nuts, cereals, and juices, followed by English breakfast and toast, the menu is on display in the dining room for selection of their preferences upon arrival at the Haven.

All eight rooms have en-suite showers, and are equipped with colour television hostess tray and hair dryer, ironing facilities are available upon request.

The Haven has been a guest house for twenty five years and is now owned and managed by Stevie Yiapatou, who purchased the property in 2002, following a complete renovation, guests started to arrive to new surroundings in April 2003. The house has been tastefully decorated, and no expense has been spared on furnishings or comfort.
