A good base for exploring Bristol, Bath, Wells and the Mendips. Beautiful walking from the front door. For cyclists Chew Stoke is on a Land's End to John O'Groats route, and on National Cycle Routes 3 and 10.
Accommodation is mainly in the coach house annexe, which
has been carefully modernised to provide comfortable rooms. We have one
ground-floor room, but nothing suitable for wheelchair users as the old
building has steps everywhere.
The house is in a pleasant south-facing English garden
and dates back to the time of George III when the Bilbie family used the site
for their clock-making and bell-founding business.
A home-from-home, which we invite you to share, where we
aim to source as much as possible locally. Food is bought from local growers
and suppliers wherever possible - some comes from the garden.
