www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Beech House, Wigton, Cumbria

Before the festivities begin why not spend a relaxing weekend at Beech House? We are a working smallholding and B&B in the heart of Blennerhasset, a small traditional Cumbrian village, close to the quiet unspoilt beauty of the Western Lake District.

Ideal for a relaxing pre-Christmas get-away! Snuggle down on the large comfey sofa in front of the wood burning stove with a book & a delicious afternoon tea or just kick-off your shoes & chill!

Situated on a 5.75 acre smallholding beside the River Ellen we raise free-range pigs and poultry; as well as a small flock of sheep. Our hearty Beech House breakfasts are all cooked to order using our own home reared or locally grown produce. Alternatively select from juice, fresh fruit and cereal.

Beech House is ideally situated to take advantage of the many attractions of the Western Lakes from walking the fells, Skiddaw is just five miles away; to cycling, we are only 30 minutes from Whinlater Forest and the longest mountain bike trail in the Lake District. Cockermouth, the birth place of William Wordsworth, Silloth's golf links and a number of historic houses are all within easy reach.
