Briardene
Guest House is a traditional Lakeland stone house built in 1888 and full of
Victorian charm and character. Many of its original features have been
retained, such as the elegant pitch pine staircase, stained glass windows, and
coving.
All our
bedrooms are en-suite with each having a remote controlled colour television,
hair dryer, radio/alarm clock and tea/coffee making facilities.
A buffet
style breakfast of cereals, fresh fruit, grapefruit segments and fruit juices
is available. We also have a breakfast menu which provides a wider choice,
including Full English, Vegetarian or Continental.
There are
a number of picturesque walks that can be followed from Briardene Guest House,
including the spectaculer view from Orrest Head. This is considered to be one
of the most perfect viewpoints that the Lake District can offer.
