www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Westfield Farmhouse, Seahouses, Northumberland

Set on the outskirts of the village of Seahouses, with two ensuite double rooms and fantastic Aga cooked traditional English breakfast.

Our guest trays offer hot beverage facilities, a proper kettle not the usual tiny one and a range of teas, including herbal teas and our fair trade coffee range also offers decaffeinated products. A yummy local sweet treat and fresh milk not those awkward little cartons or squidgy sticks that spurt all over the place. (Gluten free treats and non-dairy products can be provided if requested on booking).

For your entertainment we provide a modern slimline, flat screen colour TV, DVD player, range of DVD's and a clock radio with I-pod dock. Wireless Internet access is also available.

Seahouses is well served with shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, bank, butchers, bakers etc. Although a working village, Seahouses also provides many facilities for tourists, from boat trips to the Farne Islands from its busy and colourful harbour to see Puffins (June & July), Grey Seals and a multitude of other bird and wildlife, to miles of sandy beaches popular with walkers and water sports enthusiasts.

Close by are a number of castles and houses of interest, depicting the heritage for which the area is particularly well known and a visit across the tidal causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is something not to be missed.
