Bartles Lodge, Elsing, Dereham, Norfolk
Bartles Lodge is a nearly 10 acre site that provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. It is located in the quaint village of Elsing which is only a short distance from Dereham. This is a beautiful holiday spot in the heart of the Norfolk countryside perfect for fishing, relaxing and exploring our lovely county.
There are 6 en suite bedrooms available - 4 of which have lovely views of the fishing lakes. Each room has a flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities, Wi-Fi and hairdryer.
In the morning a buffet breakfast with hot and cold choices is served in the dining room which has views of the grounds and lakes. The lodge also has a licensed bar.
North Norfolk with its wildlife marshes and neverending beaches is rugged and beautiful. Trips out could include:
Bird watching at Cley marshes.
Boat trip from Morston to Blakeney Point to see more wildlife including seals.
Lunch at Morston Hall run by the now infamous TV celebrity chef Galton Blackiston.
Shopping in Burnham market.
A long walk along the beach at Holkham.
Further round the coast you’ll find the timeless resorts of Sheringham and Cromer and miles of golden sandy beaches that stretch right around the coast to Great Yarmouth.
