Ellen House offers bed and breakfast accommodation located on the outskirts of Matlock in Derbyshire. The bed and breakfast is only a short walk from the town centre, local amenities and railway stations making us a great base for both business and leisure guests. The Peak District is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists, both of which are welcome at this bed and breakfast.
The guest rooms in this Edwardian property have been tastefully decorated and furnished to ensure guests have a relaxing and comfortable place to return to at the end of the day. Each of the B&B rooms has been finished with unique touches to ensure your stay is extra special.
You can enjoy a great English or continental breakfast made with ingredients sourced locally. The speciality is vegetarian and vegan meals and you will be provided with an extensive choice from a menu consisting of appetizing and freshly cooked dishes. Beforehand you can enjoy a buffet which includes cereals, a fresh fruit platter or a fruit crumble, Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit juice, tea and filter coffee. Given sufficient notice, packed lunches can be provided for bikers and hikers and light snacks for guests arriving late.
