Grove House, Woodbridge, Suffolk

Grove House, Woodbridge, Suffolk

Grove House offers comfortable guest accommodation in the town of Woodbridge in Suffolk. Paul Barrett is the owner and has extensive experience in the hospitality and catering industry including working with top hotels and restaurants, but now dedicates his time to Grove House.

There are 12 en suite bedrooms available, all individually decorated. One room is adapted for wheelchair users and there is also a family room that includes bunk beds in a separate area to the main bedroom. Extra beds are available. All of the guest bedrooms have TV, hairdryer and coffee and tea making facilities, and internet access.

Breakfast is served in the light and airy dining room from 7.30 am – 8.45 am weekdays and from 8.00 am – 9.30 am at weekends. The restaurant is open every evening except for Sundays from 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm. Meals can be arranged outside these times by prior arrangement.

There are so many interesting places to visit in this area. Woodbridge itself is steeped in history. Why not visit the Tide Mill on the River Deben or Buttrum's Mill? It is considered to be one of England's finest tower windmills. Sutton Hoo is just down the road and is a famous archaeological site. Just outside Woodbridge is Bentwaters, a disused American Air Base housing a Cold War Museum. Alternatively, why not visit Bawdsey Radar Station just across the river - famous for the birth of 'radar'. Felixstowe Landguard Fort was built by Henry VIII and is definitely worth a visit.
