Park House is a fine Victorian residence which has been carefully upgraded and modernised. It is warm, comfortable and has elegant interiors decorated to a high standard.
The house is in an ideal position in the town centre with uninterrupted views across parkland to the fells beyond. It is only a 2-minute walk from buses, shops, pubs and cafes. There is private parking for all guests.
There are 3 steps into the house and all bedrooms are on the first and second floor, access is therefore unsuitable for wheelchairs.
Ambleside is a centre for walkers with a range of walks from easy to strenuous starting from the door. Lake cruises from Waterhead are 10 minutes walk away. Fishing permits are available locally.
