The Sun Inn is a beautiful 15th Century pub in the heart of the historic town of Clun, South Shropshire. 


A grade two listed building, the Inn is of cruck construction with a wealth of exposed oak beams and original charm. Bev Davies welcomes you to sup, dine and sleep in one of England's finest traditional inns. 

We serve traditional real ales, as well as the usual selection of keg and bottle beers, wines and soft drinks. Walkers are welcome. Well behaved dogs are welcome in our historic snug bar. Award winning three tuns beer served. 

Our accommodation includes two double en-suite bedrooms and one twin room in the Old Stable Block which is quietly situated at the rear of the inn. The Granary is an exceptional en-suite double apartment at the rear of the Inn.

Based in the historic town of Clun in South Shropshire, we are situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Whether you are simply looking to relax or are a keen country walker or cyclist we can offer you the perfect place to stay while you enjoy the surroundings.
