The Hundred of Ashendon, Ashendon, Aylesbury, Buckingamshire
The Hundred of Ashendon is nestled amidst stunning countryside, between the Chilterns and the Cotswolds. This family-run pub offers a place where you can rest, relax and replenish, whether you are a resident or non-resident. We are a short drive from Aylesbury at Ashendon and offer comfortable guest rooms, award-winning food and a popular bar menu.
Our guest rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, providing a comfortable place to enjoy a good night’s rest. As a 17th century inn, you will find that there are lots of charming features and characteristics, alongside more modern amenities and facilities. We have 5 quiet, comfortable rooms available, all of which are en suite, have a TV and superfast Wi-Fi.
Having worked at some of the country’s top restaurants, including St John and the Hand & Flowers, owner and chef, Matt Gill has now returned to the countryside that he grew up in, to open up his first solo venture. With a passion for British food, you’ll only find seasonal and local dishes on the menu.
We’re a village pub so in the Gatehanger Bar, you can expect to find an array of drinks from the most splendid of local ales (some are from a stone’s throw away) to a selection of wines, spirits teas and coffee. There is also a bar snack menu which changes daily. But there is always a good old sandwich or fries available should you fancy something a little less fancy.
Whether you’re a neighbour that never has time to stop and explore where you live or you’re on a treasured weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of busy city life, there are lots of things to do and see near The Hundred.
