The Old Stables Bed & Breakfast, Chelynch, Shepton Mallet, Somerset
The Old Stables Bed & Breakfast is located on Hurlingpot Farm in the rural hamlet of Chelynch, Somerset. The bed and breakfast is a Grade II listed converted barn filled with character whilst still offering comfortable guest accommodation with all the facilities of a modern B&B.
The en suite rooms have been individually designed to ensure that you have a relaxing stay. In your room you will find a super comfy king or super-king bed (super kings can be made into twins if you prefer) made up with soft white linens, a silent mini-fridge containing fresh milk and complimentary mineral water, flat-screen TV with, free Wi-Fi, home-baked goodies, plenty of soft, fluffy towels, luxury toiletries, hairdryer and makeup mirror.
The traditional farmhouse breakfast, using locally sourced produce wherever possible, is served in the stunning 17th Century beamed dining room. There are many lovely pubs and restaurants within an easy drive or if you fancy something a little closer to home, the Poachers Pocket local pub serves good food and is only a short walk away.
Situated on the edge of the Mendip Hills (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), The Old Stables provides a peaceful retreat to relax and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. This is the perfect base for exploring the very best of Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. The accommodation is also within easy proximity to The Royal Bath & West Showground, Bath, Wells (with its stunning Cathedral), various National Trust properties and gardens, Longleat, Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar to name but a few.
