www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Bull Hotel, Sedbergh, Cumbria

Welcome to the Bull Hotel - a few minutes away from the M6, Sedbergh is nestled in the Howgills, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and just a short drive from the Lake District. It's hard to beat, offering great value for a refreshing change, all taken at your own pace.

Relaxed, friendly & informal, that's what we're all about; great food doesn't have to mean pretentious waiters and lots of fuss. So, head for the bull to enjoy an outstanding range of wines, sprits and well-kept beers, plus some incredibly tasty meals and bar snacks.

You'll find the bull right in the middle of Sedbergh and Sedbergh pretty much in the middle of Great Britain - Ideal for a stopover if you're making the long drive from North to South - and surrounded by rolling countryside & things to do.

With secure cycle storage and a drying room, the bull is an ideal base for your adventures in & around the Yorkshire Dales, the Howgills, the Lake District, a stopover on The Dales Way, Dales High Way, W2W or C2C variants, and there are some great walks for dog lovers.

If golf is your thing then you'd be hard-pressed to find friendlier and more scenic courses, groups & pairs are always made welcome.

The name Sedbergh probably comes from 'flat-topped hill' - a name given to this place by the Viking invaders and settlers long ago. Delve into the local geology on this fascinating trail, or soak up the nationally-important history of the Quaker movement in this area.
