Located a stones throw away from the picturesque Plymouth Hoe waterfront, the Edgcumbe Guest House is a perfect place to stay on your visit to Plymouth.

We are ideally situated within easy walking distance of the modern City Centre and the historic Barbican waterfront. Here you will find the Mayflower Steps which mark the spot from where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail to found New England. The recently extended National Marine Aquarium is the largest in Britain and boasts the deepest tank in Europe and is also situated on the Barbican along with art galleries, antique and gift shops.

The pedestrianized City Centre is the largest in the region and is a joy with its floral displays and water features. Not only will you find the widest range of national chains, but also many independent, specialist outlets and a large Pannier Market. Be sure to visit Drake Circus Shopping Centre – a modern indoor mall.

Plymouth Pavilions and The Theatre Royal are approximately 10 minutes’ walk away. Brittany Ferries Terminal, with regular sailings to France and Spain, is close by. The busy naval dockyard and H.M.S. Raleigh are a short ride away.

The beautiful Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park is easily accessible via the Cremyll Ferry. Situated just across the river and overlooking Plymouth Sound, the park has formal gardens, temples, follies and woodlands around the Tudor house.
