Limekiln is a perfect base for traffic-free countryside walks to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door or for exploring the Jurassic Coast and south Dorset.

Lulworth Cove is four miles by road from Limekiln House and three miles on footpaths and bridleways. It has a large car park and can be very busy on a sunny day. The Cove is oyster-shaped, 425 metres by 200 metres. The beach is pebbly with sand at the end nearest to the car park. There are many seasonal outlets offering snacks and meals also general stores, souvenir shops and ice-cream parlours, a pub and hotel bars.
