www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Tangley Hall, Upper Farringdon, Hampshire

Tangley Hall is surrounded by wonderful countryside, with many beautiful walks along bridleways and footpaths through farmland, woods and meadows, and the pretty villages of Chawton, with its connection to Jane Austen, Selborne and Tisted.

Both rooms have a Colour TV, a hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, coffee and tea making facilities (with fresh milk if required) and mineral water.

Farringdon is a pretty village on the A32 just south of Alton in Hampshire. It is situated in the new South Downs National Park. Farringdon is famous in its own right for:

Massey's Folly, an unusual building which took over 30 years to build by the Reverend Massey. It is used as the Village Hall and a Nursery School.

The ancient Yew Trees in the churchyard of All Saints church, which are over 2000 years old.

The naturalist Reverend Gilbert White, once the rector of Farringdon. His house and garden are in Selborne; also where the Captain Oates collection is held, he who famously told Captain Scott, "I am just going out now and I may be sometime..."
