This
picture postcard cottage boasts 4 en suite bedrooms (3 double & 1 twin). A
5 minute walk one way gives stunning views of Mull, Inish and the Garvellach
islands yet 5 minutes in the opposite direction takes you to the Oyster Bar and
Restaurant with the little village shop and Highland Arts exhibition. Oban,
"Gateway to the Isles", is 15 miles away to the north.
Garragh
Mhor is situated close to the shoreline in the tiny village of Ellenabeich
overlooking the island of Easdale (with its thriving population of
approximately 60). Ellenabeich is in the Firth of Lorn on the West Coast of
Argyll.
From
Oban, follow the A816 Lochgiphead road then turn left on to the B844 sign
posted Easdale. You will cross the famous Bridge over the Atlantic, pass the
Tigh an Truish, an 18th century inn and pass the golf course at Balvicar with
the local shop and post office on your right. Notice the view at the top of
Dunmore Hill, which is one of the best views in Scotland. Drive past the school
and you see the sign for Ellenabeich on your left. Turn right then follow the
signs for Garragh Mhor.
Visit
Oban, the "Gateway to the Isles" as it's known. Soak in the
atmosphere of this seaside port; try out the various restaurants or take a
stroll along the esplanade and people watch.
