www.thebandbdirectory.co.uk Mount Pleasant Inn, Merthyr Vale, South Wales

Nestling in the picturesque Welsh countryside, The Mount Pleasant has undergone a period of extensive refurbishment during the past 6 years and has enjoyed visitors from all over the world.

Locally known as "The Black" The Mount Pleasant Inn is steeped in history. Its name is attributed to its links with the Black Lion Sidings, which once controlled the endless stream of coal leaving Merthyr Vale Colliery.

The atmosphere is warm and friendly, yet efficient. Our menus are changed frequently to take advantage of seasonal and local produce, and to offer more variety. We would be delighted to see you and can assure you that your stay with us will be a very pleasant and enjoyable one.

The Mountain Pleasant provides the ideal choice for the walking enthusiast. We are located on the Taff Trail which runs from Cardiff in the South to Brecon in the North.

The Taff Trail is a 55 mile marked route for walkers and cyclists. The Trail links parts of the historic transport network to form a continuous route. In Cardiff it runs from the Bay waterfront along the Taff corridor to Tongwynlais.
